Infos about Electrypnose shows [<]

There are many things said around about live acts, how are live acts supposed to be, artists doing the show...etc.
Here are a few words about my way to go, you might like it or not, it doesn't matter, but at least it makes things clear.

Something in between a DJ set and a Live set.
I'd call it so. A dj set is a set where someone plays a selection of music made by different artists. A live set would be the artist's music being played "live" with some sort of direct edits while it's being played. Even better, a live would be like a concert, you play the sound out of the machines.
I've thought many times about how to do it. But playing with machines (what I did at the beginning) showed a lot of disadvantages. A few examples : Traveling with expensive gears might be really not funny. Little stages you're supposed to play don't allow you any space to set up your instruments...
Well, after years of making music and playing at parties, here is the way I'm doing it :

- Electrypnose is more a studio project than a live band. Electronic and various musical research done in a laboratory.
- At a gig, the Music is the important thing, not myself.
- I'm not a one man show.
- The music is played from Ableton (clip side for those who know)
- All tracks are ready to be played any time, I don't have a playlist, it goes as it feels at the moment.
- Basically doing a DJ set with my own tracks, in Ableton.
- In the past I was having many samples, loops, VSTi going too, but all the efforts done in the studio were kind of affected by not so prepared content.
- It happened quite some times that people asked to play a specific track, this way it's very possible to integer a track in a set (if the track is a good choice to be played of course.)
- Mixing my music this way has been the best I've found so far. I could enjoy the studio work on a stage without messing up with the music, and play around with the tracks selection and the way to mix.
- In conclusion, doesn't really matter for me what they would put on the flyer, if it's a live or a djset. It's what you've just read above ;)
- And what you're getting when I get to play in a party is 1-2h of (new if possible) Electrypnose music played in a row. And that's it.
- Also, if party promoters could do it more like it was when I discovered trance parties : not putting the dj in front of the crowd, like a TV entertainer, but be "a little" more hidden to play his music without having to behave a certain way... That would be good for me.
